The HFA is pleased to announce that this week’s Credit Committees approved 8 new loan applications totalling €40.7 million, to finance the development and acquisition of 251 new homes.

The HFA Board reduced the interest rates charged on existing offerings and approved a range of new fixed rate lending products to support the funding of new social housing and infrastructure projects by AHBs and local authorities.

Following on from a five-fold increase in the level of loan approvals for approved housing bodies (AHBs) in 2015, loans of €72 million were approved by the HFA in the quarter to end March 2016, to build or acquire 464 homes for social housing tenants.
