Housing Finance Agency invites applications for €750,000 Social Impact Fund
The Housing Finance Agency is now inviting applications to its Social Impact Fund, with up to €750,000 available to support impactful community projects.
The programme provides once-off funding for initiatives that complement housing developments and deliver meaningful benefits to these communities.
Local Authorities, Approved Housing Bodies (AHBs) and Higher Education Institutions can apply for up to €75,000 per project.
This year, for the first time consideration will be given to support a small number of high quality applications from Approved Housing Bodies that are not currently customers of the HFA.
The initiative should align with one or more of the HFA’s core objectives:
- Complement housing developments with supports and facilities that foster vibrant, inclusive communities;
- Enhance community wellbeing and improve quality of life for local residents;
- Support social inclusion by engaging diverse groups, including residents of specialist housing;
- Encourage innovation, creativity and environmental sustainability in community initiatives. Last year’s successful applications included children’s play areas, community cafés and youth arts programmes - projects shaped by local priorities and designed to bring people together.
