Housing Finance Agency invites applications for €500,000 Social Investment Fund

The Housing Finance Agency is inviting applications from customers for its Social Investment Fund, which has up to €500,000 available to support local community-enhancing initiatives and facilities.

Local Authorities, certified Approved Housing Bodies and Higher Education Institutions that apply for funding this year can seek up to €50,000 towards an individual project.

The initiative should align with one or more of the HFA’s core objectives:

         
  • Complementing housing developments with supports and facilities that foster vibrant, inclusive communities.
  •      
  • Enhancing community wellbeing with projects that improve the quality of life for local residents.
  •      
  • Supporting social inclusion by backing initiatives that engage diverse groups in society, including residents in specialist housing, and encourage community engagement.
  •      
  • Encouraging innovation and environmental sustainability in communities by promoting creative, forward-thinking and impactful projects.

Last year’s successful applications included play spaces, activities for senior citizens, family support programmes and biodiversity gardens. The full list can be found here.
